Eliminate the use of external warehouses in Japan and keep inventory at inexpensive Chinese warehouses instead
Requests from our customers
- We want to eliminate the use of expensive domestic external warehouses and store inventory at inexpensive Chinese warehouses instead.
- We want to eliminate unnecessary transfers from our current Osaka warehouse to various local areas, in order to reduce shipping costs.
Outline of Services
Hitachi Transport System offers services such as warehousing products delivered from factories in South China at the Shenzhen Bonded Logistics Center, consolidated-shipping to Japan and the U.S., and transportation services to specified warehouses throughout Japan. In addition, we have implemented the Global Warehouse Management System (GWMS) to control shipping/receiving operations and handle inventory control (first-in, first-out management), which allows us to offer our customers a real time access to operation and inventory performance records on our website.
Key points of service
- We managed to cut storage fees by storing inventory at inexpensive Chinese warehouses.
- We managed to reduce substantial costs spent on unnecessary transfers by shipping directly to domestic ports nearest to each warehouse.
- We managed to reduce substantial costs spent on local drayage by switching from the Port of Hong Kong to the Shenzhen Bay Port in China.
- Through consolidated shipping, we managed to create a procurement system to obtain "what we need in the right quantity."
