History

In 1950, Hitachi Ltd. spun off its logistics department to form a separate distribution subsidiary, and Hitachi Transport System was born. Broadening the scope of our business to include total-package subcontracting of our parent company's in-factory logistics, we also began undertaking transportation of ultra-heavy machinery and equipment both within Japan and overseas. One of the first companies to build our own logistics data system, we subsequently upgraded our service, subcontracting corporate logistics operations on a comprehensive basis, and expanded our sales to a large clientele spanning a wide range of industries and business types. Hitachi Transport System is currently working on further enhancements to our comprehensive, high-quality logistics service, and working proactively to expand our business still further.
